Wolverhampton Interchange Railway Station

Location: Wolverhampton
Sector: Retail, Transport/ Infrastructure
Status: In-Progress

In 2007, the company was appointed as the City of Wolverhampton Council’s delivery partner for the Interchange scheme. The objective of the project was to improve the City’s public transport facilities and create a new office, retail and leisure quarter on the Gateway to Wolverhampton.

The new railway station is central to the Wolverhampton Interchange Project. It will provide enhanced facilities for passengers and staff and increase pedestrian capacity both within the building and on the forecourt area for taxi’s, passenger drop off and short stay parking.

Phase 1 of the scheme comprising the forecourt and car park extension was completed in January 2017 and once Phase 2 of the scheme is completed in 2020, the £25 million scheme will provide a fitting gateway to the City of Wolverhampton.
