Latest Lime Street tenant

Leading Liverpool property developer, Ion can reveal retail space under the Lime Street development will be leased to pub company Greene King.

The regeneration experts transformed Lime Street as a key gateway area, with a Premier Inn Hotel, The Lantern luxury student accommodation and a city centre Lidl – creating a new vision for an area in the city that needed investment.

Steve Parry, managing director of Ion said: ‘It has always been important to us to reflect the roots of Lime Street through this development. Lime Street was traditionally a street where entertainment married harmoniously with food, drink and retail. The panelled façade tells the story of the history of the street – from the penny bazaar to the cinemas and the milk bars. We hoped to mirror that offering when allocating the street level units.’

A spokesperson for Greene King said: ‘Greene King Local Pubs are all individually designed, to reflect the community they sit within and offer a local experience. Lime Street is an inimitable street, that welcomes visitors to the city and we are delighted that Greene King will reflect this uniqueness. Greene King will provide another location for people to enjoy food and drink in this part of town, alongside The Crown and The Northwestern, and further instil a sense of local community in this part of the city.’
