Marston’s Inns and Taverns & Euro Garages to join Earlsfield Park scheme

Developers, Ion, announce Marston’s Inns and Taverns and Euro Garages to join Earlsfield Park scheme.

Leading Liverpool property developer, Ion, in collaboration with the Knowsley Estate has secured both Marston’s Inns and Taverns and Euro Garages as the first occupiers for its 50-acre Earlsfield Park development that will bring new employment and homes to North Huyton. The well-located site sits close to Junction 2 of the M57, directly south of the Knowsley Estate and is set to provide over 30 acres of employment land and a housing development of 154 new homes.

The ambitious development will sit adjacent to the existing Lord Derby Playing Fields and Oak Plantation – areas which will be upgraded to create an essential recreation space for the community. The retail and leisure offering in the form of leading pub company, Marston’s Inns and Taverns and Euro Garages, who will combine a convenience store, coffee shop and instore baked goods with petrol facilities, will sit alongside a new combined 3-km pedestrian and cycle route.

The employment park itself is to be pitched as a ground breaking ‘hybrid’ model where the demand for high-quality advanced manufacturing research and development facilities and sub-regional logistics business space can be fulfilled alongside more traditional office and workshop spaces, encircled within a semi-rural parkland setting with the benefits of a retail and leisure offering.

The development has the potential to create over 650 jobs to the local economy, as well as over 800 construction jobs.

Steve Parry, managing director of Ion Development said: ‘We are delighted that Marston’s [Inns and Taverns] and Euro Garages are joining the development at Earlsfield Park and look forward to seeing it take shape.  They will add an amenity and leisure offering to Earlsfield Park occupiers and employees as well as serving the local community thanks to its excellent location and accessibility.’

David Myers, UK Property Director for Eurogarages said: ‘‘We have enjoyed working with ION to date and this transaction represents another strategic milestone in our company expansion. Earlsfield Park’s surrounding land uses are synonymous with properties we target; the roadside profile will help us to deliver high quality customer facilities to enable brand partnership growth within our Group’.

Tina Moorhouse, Marston’s estates acquisitions manager added: ‘We are delighted to be part of the Earlsfield Park development and look forward to being part of Knowsley in the near future.’
